Willow turned four this past November and although I didn’t get a chance to share the photos back then, I wanted to share them now as the party was SUCH a success! We did a Frozen theme, given that that is one of W’s favourite movies, and the best part was that given the time of year, we were able to have easy access to Christmas decorations, which went perfectly with the theme! I also just left some of the decorations up afterward to carry into the holiday season.
The morning started early with Willow assessing some of the initial decorations and helping to add the toppers to her cake. The plan was for Steve to take Willow out for breakfast, a little father-daughter date, while I got the rest of the house ready and while guests arrived.
Before they left, Willow enjoyed the calm before the storm and did a little colouring.
And, after her masterpiece was finished, her and Steve left on their father-daughter breakfast date.
The Decorations
I was able to get most of the decorations shown at the Dollar Store and the rest came from Party Mart. I infused a few truly Frozen-themed items (ie: plates with Olaf’s face on them) but mostly I just stuck to real decorations that were in silver, purple and blue.
I made the above punch in a SUPER simple way. I did frozen lemonade and then added drops of the Blueberry water flavouring (I think the brand was Mio) until it reached a semi-blue colour. You could add a carbonated beverage but I left it out as Willow doesn’t drink any kind of soda yet.
Fun with Family and Friends
Guests arrived, Willow returned and we moved into the many activities that exist within a birthday party. Blowing out candles, opening presents, playing with friends and chatting with family. It was such a great day and Willow truly enjoyed every moment of it. Thank you SO much to all of our friends and family for being there to help us celebrate our wee girl turning four.
